Impact

In Warhammer 40k: Darktide, Impact is a weapon stat that determines its stagger potential, allowing players to control enemies by making them stumble, stagger, or fall over. A higher Impact stat increases the likelihood and duration of stagger effects, helping players manage hordes and control tougher enemies with higher stagger resistance. You can check your weapon's Impact stat in its attack breakdown by inspecting the weapon.

How Impact Works

Stagger Potential:

Impact is essentially the "stagger damage" your weapon deals.

Thresholds:

Each enemy has a stagger threshold. When your weapon's Impact value exceeds an enemy's threshold, it will stagger.

Stagger Severity:

Exceeding the threshold by a larger amount results in a heavier stagger, which can last longer or have a greater effect.

Enemy Resistance:

Larger and tougher enemies, like Ogryns and Crushers, have higher stagger resistance, requiring more Impact to stagger them.

Where to Find Impact

• Inspect Weapon: Go to your weapon's stats in the inventory.

• Attack Breakdown: Select the option to view the weapon's attack breakdown.

• Blue/Lightning Stat: The Impact stat is represented by a blue/lightning symbol or number.

Why Impact is Important

Crowd Control:

High Impact weapons are excellent for controlling large groups of enemies by staggering them.

Enemy Management:

You can use Impact to interrupt powerful enemy attacks or to knock ranged enemies out of their firing stances.

Survival:

Staggering enemies temporarily removes them from the fight, making your team safer and giving you time to reposition or deal with other threats.
