Buffs
In Warhammer 40K: Darktide, buffs are effects that increase a character's or weapon's power, capabilities, or efficiency. They can come from class abilities, blessings on weapons, or even team-wide mechanics like Coherency. For example, a buff could increase damage, improve attack speed, provide damage resistance, or grant faster Toughness regeneration.
Breakdown of Common Sources and Examples of Buffs
Class Abilities:
Many classes have active or passive abilities that provide buffs.
Example: The Zealot's skills can grant them a large attack speed buff after a successful dodge.
Weapon Blessings:
These are special effects applied to weapons that permanently alter their performance.
Example: A weapon might receive a Blessing that increases its damage against specific enemy types, like the Ogryn's rock gaining improved damage against Maniac enemies.
Coherency:
This is a team-wide passive buff that is active as long as you and your allies are close together.
Example: Coherency passively regenerates your team's Toughness (a form of defensive health), allowing everyone in range to become more resilient.
Essentially, any positive change or enhancement to your character's or weapon's statistics, damage, or effectiveness can be considered a buff in Darktide.
