Aura

In Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, an aura is a passive buff that a player character generates around themselves, typically providing benefits to nearby allies within a certain range, known as the coherency radius. These auras encourage teamwork and strategic positioning, as benefits are only granted when players stay close to one another. Different classes and characters have unique auras that provide varied benefits, such as increased damage, healing, or ability cooldown reductions, affecting the entire team when active.

How Auras Work

Coherency Radius:

Each player has an invisible radius around them called coherency. When allies are within this radius, they are considered "in range" and receive the benefits of the aura.

Team-Based Benefits:

Auras are designed to promote a team-oriented playstyle, rewarding players for sticking together.

Variety of Effects:

The specific effect of an aura depends on the character and the chosen passive skills (talents).

Examples of Auras

Veteran's Ammo Aura:

Increases the team's overall ammo efficiency by providing a chance to receive ammo on kills.

Zealot's Loner Aura:

A more selfish aura that provides a small benefit for the Zealot when alone, allowing them to ignore the coherency mechanic for a reduced toughness regeneration.

Psyker's Aura:

Reduces ability cooldowns for the Psyker and their allies after elite or specialist enemy kills.

Ogryn's Bonebreaker's Aura:

Increases melee attack damage for the Ogryn and their nearby allies.
